Description THDC India Limited (THDCIL), a Schedule-A, Mini Ratna PSU and a subsidiary of NTPC Limited under the Ministry of Power, invites applications on All-India basis for regular recruitment to the posts of Mine Surveyor and Mine Junior Overman in S-2 Grade.

This recruitment aims to engage experienced and qualified professionals for coal mining operations under THDCIL’s expanding mining business.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Mine Surveyor (Post Code 01)

Qualification:
Full-time regular Diploma in Mine Survey / Mine Engineering / Mining & Mine Surveying / Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
Must possess Surveyor’s Certificate (Coal) of Competency issued by DGMS.

Experience: Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in coal mining.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025): Maximum 30 years.

2. Mine Junior Overman (Post Code 02)

Qualification:
Full-time regular Diploma in Mining Engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
Must possess Overman’s Certificate (Coal) of Competency issued by DGMS.

Experience: Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in coal mining.
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025): Maximum 30 years.

Note:
Qualifications must be regular and full-time.
Candidates with 59.99% will not be eligible (no rounding off).
Experience as trainee, academic, or internship will not count as work experience.
Form-16 or income proof required for private sector experience verification.

Relaxations:
SC/ST – 5 years | OBC (NCL) – 3 years
PwBD (UR/EWS) – 10 years | PwBD (OBC-NCL) – 13 years | PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 years
Relaxation in experience – up to 1 year for SC/ST candidates (where experience required >3 years).
Departmental candidates and Project Affected Families – as per THDCIL policy.

Selection Process:
Computer Based Test (CBT) may be conducted at multiple centers.

Qualifying Marks:
UR/EWS/OBC(NCL): 50%
SC/ST/PwBD: 40% (where vacancy reserved)
Final Merit List: Based on marks obtained in CBT (100% weightage).

Centers: Delhi/Noida, Dehradun, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Kolkata.

Pay Scale and Benefits:
Grade: S-2
Pay Scale: ₹29,400 – 3% – ₹1,19,200
Starting Basic Pay: ₹29,400 per month

Perks:
Dearness Allowance, 35% cafeteria benefits, HRA/Company quarters, medical facilities, loans & advances, insurance, performance-related pay, and post-retirement benefits.

Probation: 1 year (after which regularization in same grade).
Career Growth: Eligible for promotion to S-3 Grade (₹29,600 – 3% – ₹1,19,500) after 4 years as per THDCIL policy.

Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India or abroad across THDCIL projects, stations, offices, JVs, or subsidiaries.
